Malvern Prep graduated 121 seniors on a beautiful Thursday morning.

The ceremony included a Mass, music from Liturgical Choir, commencement speeches from Mr. John McGlinn P ’14, ’16, ’18 and senior Drew Brady, a brief award ceremony, the conferral of diplomas, and the tossing of caps.

McGlinn’s speech began by thanking Malvern faculty, family, friends, and students. He also thanked any representatives of LeBron James who may be in the audience.

His speech included three U2 songs, “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “Walk On,” and “Love Is Bigger Than Anything in Its Way,” performed by seniors Christian Franck, Des Papariello, and Pat Klinges, and freshmen Cormac Delaney and Eric Yablonski, under the direction of Mr. Ed Liga. There was also a drone that shot overhead photos during “Where the Streets Have No Name.” McGlinn promised to post these photos on his Instagram account.

Congratulations to all the new alumni. Good luck in college and the future from The Friar’s Lantern staff!
