Home Alone, All Together

Middle school students ring in Christmas break with a movie night.

This year, the Student Leadership team set up a movie night scheduled for December 13th. It will take place in Stewart Hall. Canyon Coolidge is a member of Student Leadership, so I interviewed him about the movie night.

I asked Canyon what to expect on Christmas movie night, and he gave me all the details. “There will be a hot chocolate stand and an area to decorate cookies,” Canyon said. “Everyone will enjoy themselves while watching the movie. We will watch Home Alone. Home Alone is about a little boy who is left at home while the rest of his family is on vacation. He is left to protect his house while there are intruders trying to rob his house” Canyon added.

When asked why this event came about, Canyon responded, “Student Leadership decided to have this activity because we thought it would be fun to do something that all middle school students would enjoy.” The first step of the process was to figure out an activity that everyone could enjoy together. Then we had to figure out what the movie would be,” Canyon said. Once they decided on a Home Alone movie night, they picked a date and location to host the event.

I am personally very excited to be attending the movie night. I am sure that the whole night will be awesome, and I’m so grateful to Canyon and the Student Leadership team for putting it all together!
