We chose Big Room House this month because we felt it was very opposite to last month’s edition, Tropical House. If you listen to Big Room House you are most likely to be partying as opposed to relaxing with tropical house.
Big Room House songs are start with synths that build upon each other. The drop is the song is usually a kick with a melody line that seems simple. One of the main reasons this genre came into play as a larger portion in EDM is because of festivals.
This genre is often criticized for the artists having a lack of creativity but we love it, and know that you will too.

“Venom” is a song that has all the key ingredients of a big room house song. It has a melody that builds with synths, then it builds up, and it drops. The climax, when the song reaches its craziest point, will make any crowd jump.

W&W – (Willem Van Hanegem and Wardt van der Harst)
This duo is made up of two dutch DJ/Producers who met at a festival and started making music together in 2007. They have collaborated with some of the best acts in the world such as Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas, and Like Mike. If you are going to a festival you will be sure to hear some of their tracks. Some of the most recognizable songs are “Bigfoot”, “Thunder”, and “Don’t Stop the Madness”. These DJs are currently number 18 in the DJ Mag Top 100. W&W songs usually start with a nice peaceful melody that builds up and drops with a big bang. W&W are a great duo and are sure to continue to move up in the world of music
