Middle School Student Leadership has just started up with Mrs. Reynolds and Mrs. Robinson. Student Leadership is excited to put together events like Spirit week in the last week in October and the end of year celebration in the spring. The Student Leadership team meets in Riley 231 every Wednesday at 8:00 am. The group was put together so students can have a say in decisions and can help out with the organization of events.

When Henry Marcinowski ‘31 was asked why he wanted to join Student Leadership, he replied, “So I can plan fun things for the middle school and have fun.” Henry and the rest of the Student Leadership team have the opportunity to see how much work goes into planning these fun events. Student leadership is planning many activities at once and Henry explained, “Currently we are working on organizing spirit week activities such as meatball, tennis baseball and dodgeball.”

Everybody in student leadership helps wherever they can. When Henry was asked what organizing an event looks like for him he replied, “It usually involves emailing teachers, making slides, and mapping out places to play games.”

Student Leadership opens up their application to all Middle School students at the beginning of the year. Consider joining next year to take a leadership role in our school.
