Last Sunday the Philadelphia Eagles played the Kansas City Chiefs in the 59th annual Super Bowl. The final score was 40 – 22 Eagles, and the MVP was Jalen Hurts. The Super Bowl is the most important event in the NFL. Every year on the second Sunday of February, the top team from each conference plays in the Super Bowl. Each year, the game takes place in a different NFL stadium.
After the big game, the city whose team won typically hosts a big parade. Most parades are very large, with hundreds of thousands of people going. This year, Philadelphia broke every record with 1.5 million people going to the parade. At the parade, people like Nick Sirianni (Head Coach), Howie Roseman (GM), Jeffery Lurie (Owner), Jalen Hurts (QB), Saquon Barkley (RB), Jason Kelce, (Former Center) and more gave speeches.
Before the game, 95% of Malvern’s middle school wanted the Eagles to win, and 85% of Malvern believed the Eagles were going to win. Thankfully, the birds pulled through!
