Deuce Turner ’20 reaches three scoring milestones

Deuce surpassed 2,000 career points, became the all-time Inter-Ac leading scorer, and the third highest career scorer in Philadelphia history.

2020 has just begun, but senior Deuce Turner has already broken records and passed NBA Hall of Famers on leaderboards.

In Malvern’s victory over Friend’s Central on January 4th, he reached 2,000 points. He is the first player in Malvern’s history to reach the milestone.

But he didn’t stop there.

On January 13 against Cheltenham high school, Turner reached 2,082 points. In that game, he passed the former record of 2,068 points to become the highest scorer in the history of the Inter-Ac.

Even after these two great accomplishments, he still had his eyes set on more.

January 26 against William Allen high school, Turner passed Sixers legend and NBA Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain for 3rd in all-time scoring in Philadelphia. This achievement was the result of a 39 point game from Turner.

As the Malvern varsity basketball team continues their strong season, one of the most important factors of their success has been Deuce Turner’s scoring. Malvern is looking for its first Inter-Ac basketball title since 2012.
