iOS 6: no more YouTube, no more Google Maps

In the shadow of the dramatic release of Apple’s new iPhone 5, Apple also released iOS 6 to older devices. The iPhone 4s, 4, and iPod touch 4th generation now also have the newest version of iOS.

For years now, Google has been OK with Apple having specific apps for YouTube and Google Maps. But now that Apple has stepped up their game even more with the whole patent war, Google is not OK with Apple using their technology. The new version of iOS does not have a YouTube app, and the previous Google Maps app has been replaced with Apple’s own Maps app. In the few days since its release, iOS 6 has been called out for this extremely unpopular change.
